A large turnout of participants was recorded at Asokoro District Hospital, Abuja, October 26 as the Abuja Nannies' Training workshops commenced in earnest.







It is organized by the AFRIBABY NANNIES' TRAINING ACADEMY to cater to the professional needs of Nannies and Caregivers in Creches, Daycare Centres, Hospitals, Homes, Health Centres, Nursery Schools, Boarding Schools and Orphanages in and around Abuja. Several Creches, Daycare Centres, Schools and Orpahanges were represented by a large crowd of participants. 

The participants were taught the following subjects:

1. Welfare Skills, Family Values and Child Abuse by Mrs. M. T. Usani, Principal Welfare Officer, Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Abuja.

2. Domestic and General First Aid Skills for Handling Infants by Dr. Nicholas Okoli of the Paediatrics Dept., Asokoro District Hospital, Abuja.

3. Creche Management Skills for Caregivers by Dr. Bukola Dosunmu, President, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools and Proprietress, Toddlers' Haven and Junior Heights Schools, Gwagwalada, Abuja.

4. Nigerian Meals for Nigerian Babies: Preparation and Feeding Skills by Dr. Chris Isokpuwu, Head Nutritionist, Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja.

The next workshop holds on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.
